Andrew Xenios has his Master's Degree in Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design. He has lived, traveled and taught classes in Merida, Yucatan Mexico for the past 35 years. As well as having more than 30 exhibitions in the area, he has participated in the developing history of modern art in the rich Mayan and Spanish cultural center. In 2000 Merida was declared the cultural center for latin America, a designation worthy of the area. Since recent changes in photography, Mr. Xenios has put his black and white chemical darkroom away for the new modern digital photography era. Still focusing on black and white photographic images, film is now the chip and the new darkroom is the computer. If you are a photographer, tourist, or anybody that has an interest in photography, the Maya, ruins or haciendas, please visit Andrew Xenios at his home and studio in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.
